Accessibility
This site should work for everyone: on any phone, by keyboard, with a screen reader, or zoomed in.
What I aim for
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA, on every page. That's the common yardstick for whether a website works for people with disabilities.
How I check it
- Every change to the site's design runs an automatic accessibility check on every page, at laptop and phone width, with menus opened and forms sent. A change with a problem doesn't go live.
- Everyday edits, like new words or photos, go live right away and get the same check. If it finds a problem, I fix it.
- Clear headings, text on every picture that means something, and a visible outline on whatever you're on when you use a keyboard.
- Text and buttons stand out from what's behind them, and nothing moves on its own.
No one can promise a flawless site, so I won't. I promise to keep checking, and to fix what I find.
